Who I am
As a designer
What I have always loved the most is working with people and helping them out, that’s why it gives me great satisfaction to know that being a UX designer is deeply people-centric. That’s what first drew me to UX design and it’s what I’m passionate about: helping users to live a better and more inclusive life.
My UX journey
Since I was young, I wanted to make the world a better and brighter place, that’s why I studied Law and then worked for a human rights non-profit organization, where I learned a lot about organizing my work and being empathic to people who are less privileged. Providing help and support to people in need has been very important to me and still is. My master’s degree was in Marketing and Communication and then I worked for a while in public relations and event planning, where I got the chance to practice my communication skills, work in a team following very strict deadlines, and also work with graphic designers for long hours until we got the perfect result. My last job before making the switch to UX/UI design was in the Admissions department of a coding boot camp, where I got to take interviews from candidates on a daily basis and solve any issues that might come up, while at the same time working closely with developers and getting an idea of what it’s like to be in the IT field. Throughout my entire work experience, the user has always been in the center focus and this has helped me a lot in my UX journey as well, since empathy is one of the main requirements for this field.
When I’m offline
I’m a strong believer that we are not only our job, that’s why I’m doing my best to fill my free time with things I love: dancing, reading books, doing ceramics, punch needling, traveling, walking my dog, cooking and taking care of my plants are only some of these things that make me feel more balanced and ready to take on any challenge given to me!
